Wilmer J. Hancock
Wilmer J. Hancock was born on January 3, 1841 in Worchester County, MD to James and Elizabeth (Hudson) Hancock. Wilmer married Martha Ann Bonnewell on August 2, 1865 in Worchester, MD. Wilmer before marriage was in the Civil War in Smith's Independent Cavalry Maryland Rolls he enlisted at the age of 21 and was 5' 6 1/4" tall with black hair and blue eyes. 1 Week before he was discharged he threw a plate of sliced corn beef on the ground he then riled his fellow soldiers to also do so Wilmer was punish by the War Department. He passed away on November 22, 1922 in Stockton, MD he is buried at Goodwill Cemetery. Throughout his long life Wilmer and his wife Martha had many children (named below):
